Description
Joel Barlow High School graduate and former Easton resident Erika Cebulski Levesque published this lyrical tale for younger children. In it, a hapless pirate is marooned on an island after his comrades force him to abandon ship. Distressed and lonely with only his trusty parrot as a companion, the less-than-swashbuckling buccaneer’s luck takes a turn for the better when he fishes a kazoo out of the sea. Once he learns how to make it hum, the little instrument quickly changes his comrades’ tune. Children find an added treasure in the Melissa & Doug wooden toy kazoo that is included.
