Sal Gilbertie is the third-generation owner/proprietor of Gilbertie’s Herb Gardens in Westport, his farm in Easton is the largest herb grower and supplier in the United States, and he has been at the forefront of the organic vegetable gardening movement for 40 years.
His greenhouses and gardens supply 100 percent certified organic microgreens, herbs, and organic markets to many top chefs and restaurants in the greater New York City area, including Greiser’s Coffee & Market in Easton, where you might bump into Sal and his wife Marie enjoying panini and cappucinos.
